I am a retired Army officer living on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. I was born and mostly reared in Wilkinson County MS where my grandfather Clarence James RICHARDSON had a grocery store. In the late 950's to late 1960's, he owned a bug general store and cotton gin "The Brick Store" in Norwood, East Feliciana Parish, LA. I'm wondering about my family's relationship to you Richardsons. My Richardson ancestors trekked from SC to Wilkinson County in 1809-1810 -- three brothers, their families, and 100 enslaved people. Some of the brothers continued on to East and West Feliciana Parishes.
ReplyDeleteOoopss!!! Typo -- should read ". . . he owned a big general store . . . ." (NOT a store selling bugs).
